Kawasaki's 592 cc liquid-cooled transverse four with DOHC and four valves per cylinder, sold as the GPz600R in Europe and as the Ninja-badged ZX 600R in North America. It used a digital ignition, four Keihin carburettors and air-assisted suspension front and rear. The page presents it as the 1985 launch model of the 600R line, before the 1986 GPX revision.
